Take an eraser to age spots and redness

MT_iplIntense Pulsed Light (IPL), is often called a “photofacial” or “photorejuvenation”.

The Lume One™ by Lumenis™ is state of the art technology for performing medical grade Photofacial (IPL) treatments that improve the appearance of photo-aged skin on the face and body with minimal to no down time. The Lume One™ is renowned for its effectiveness in mitigating rosacea, hyperpigmentation and superficial age spots while stimulating collagen growth.  The alleviation of rosacea and pigmentation creates a youthful, even toned appearance, virtually erasing years of damage cause by years of sun damage and environment.

The added benefit of stimulating collagen production can create a smoother and brighter looking skin surface.

The signs of aging and sun damage are typically most visible on a person’s face, hands and chest, because of their constant exposure to the sun.

How is a Photofacial (IPL) performed?

A cold gel is applied to the area to be treated. Goggles are worn to protect your eyes from the bright light emitted during this procedure. Treatment parameters are selected to achieve desired results based on your skin color and type of correction needed. The smooth glass surface of the IPL hand piece is gently applied to your skin while pulses of light are emitted. You may feel a slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band. Treatments generally take about thirty minutes from sit down to finish.

For more sensitive areas and skin types a topical anesthetic may used.

Do I need multiple treatments?

Depending on the condition or conditions you are treating, and the severity of the individual condition, multiple treatments in a scheduled series may be especially beneficial, however a single treatment is very effective, with substantial results.  Most of our clients do them as they feel they are needed.  That’s always up to the client, as our philosophy is not to sell packages or accept monies in advance.  We want you to be comfortable and confident every time you choose to do a treatment here. It should be the results that bring you back, not an obligation.

You can return to work the same day and resume all your regular activities.

How can I get more information face to face?
