XEOMIN® Cosmetic to treat frown lines

xeomin shot Xeomin, much like Botox, treats fine lines on the brow, forehead, crow’s feet and an array of other cosmetic and medical issues listed below.

How does Xeomin® work?

XEOMIN ® is the commercial name for incobotulinumtoxinA, which is a ‘botulinum toxin A’. This substance relaxes muscles by blocking nerve impulses. With a few tiny injections, these formulas block the release of acetylcholine, the chemical that causes muscles to contract. With less movement, the skin surface naturally fills in through natural skin cell growth, smoothing out the deep troughs allowing the lines to fade.

What causes frown lines between the brows?

The lines that appear between your brows actually result from facial muscle contractions (facial expression) through the passage of time. As we age, skin becomes less elastic, while repeated muscle contractions restrict the growth of elastin in those areas, resulting in frown lines between the brows (glabellar lines) and the vertical lines through the forehead.

Not only does this treatment make you look younger, but many people have noticed they look more relaxed and approachable.

XEOMIN® can smooth, flatten and relax:

  • Horizontal creases on the forehead
  • Vertical creases between the eyes; known as the elevens (11s) – (the glabella area)
  • Wrinkles on the temple side of the eyes, the “crow’s feet”
  • Wrinkles on the sides of the nose, “bunny lines”
  • Wrinkles on the upper lip, pursed lips
  • Vertical cords on the neck
  • And Can be used to reduce calf and jaw muscles
  • Xeomin® is also very effective in treating sweat glands under the arms, palms and feet for those who experience excessive sweating.

What can I expect from a Xeomin ® Cosmetic procedure?

A quick and simple 10-minute process consisting of a few tiny injections where results are typically seen in days and continue to improve during the first two weeks after the treatment.

Numbing cream is rarely required, because the needles are so small and the injections are not very deep. You can expect to experience very minimal and brief discomfort, even for those of us with a strong aversion to needles.

There’s always a small chance of slight bruising at the injection site, which is usually very temporary and can be easily covered with makeup. Depending on the individual and the dosage, the effects mostly lasts from 3 to 4 months, with a few people who claim a little over 6 months and a few claim less than 3 months. Results may vary. That’s a good amount of time for these dynamic lines to get a nice filling effect.
